30 Years in Business
After starting as a partner in a family-owned California-Arizona-New Mexico vegetable grower-shipper operation, in 1986 Derek founded Fresh Network, a full-service produce and transportation procurement organization which grew to more than $100 million in domestic and international sales.

Commitment to CEOs
One of Derek’s goals is to make a difference in the professional and personal lives of business leaders in the Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz regions. That’s why he stresses the importance of working “On” your business, not “In” your business.
